I Met Ronen Rubinstein | "virtually" #DIAH4 October 4th,2020

         Hey friends, Happy Wednesday Today I'm going to be telling you all about when I met Ronen Rubinstein just a week ago. For those of you who don't know who Ronen is he plays TK Strand on 911 Lone Star on Fox which I'm absolutely completely obsessed with. I've really connected with TK and Ronen in so many ways. 

         I thought I would share my experience with you and tell you all about it. So keep reading to hear it all. 

Meeting Ronen October 4th, 2020 (aka the best day of my life) 

    So If you have no idea how the dream it con's work then I quickly explain it. Basically, you can buy whatever you want. You can get personal videos, meet the actors 1 on 1 for 3 minutes, attend group meetings with 30 other fans, and attend panels. My lovely friends convinced me for weeks to meet Ronen and after some anxiety calming I decided to commit to meeting Ronen.  Once It was almost time I entered a meeting room and waited for my turn which was sooo exciting. 

Then It was my turn

 It was funny in the beginning because once I got in  I didn't realize my video would be off. 
so I turned it on and thought I was muted too but I wasn't so I ended up muting myself for two seconds and that's just my luck but after I realized that I unmuted myself quickly. 

 Ronen was  like "hello katie how are you?" 
 
and I was  like "good how are you" 

 

 He was super cheerful in that moment and I mean the whole time which made the experience so wonderful. He was so chill which made the experinece feel like I was talking with an old friend.  I was nervous since this was my firt time face to face interacting with him. I have interacted with him a bit on instgram. If I ever talk about this in a video I will definetly have to explain all that.

     He also said before starting "oh I don't think we've met before"  and I'm like "no we haven't" It was kinda funny because he was so excited to meet someone new like I could tell. 

      after the few seconds of small talk, the conversation started and man did 3 minutes go by so fast.

    I first mentioned to him how much I love TK(didn't really say why) haha next time I will more. I was like

"I like TK and most people do like him and I feel like I've met a lot of cool people bc of him like its created a community" and he's like  your definitely right about that. I agree with you and he went on to say how he hates how in some shows communities that people are hostile and mean to each other. he basically said how he doesnt get it and he expressed how unnessasaryhe feels  it is. and I agree of course. I was like exactly. 

 

Then i mentioned that I love how TK wear hoodies too and he said that he does too and hes trying to get them to make him wear more hoodies this season. I asked him if there was a specific color that he wanted to wear, and he was like pink ( he literally toughed his hoodie when he said that bc he was wearing a short sleeved pink hoodie) I really like pink. Then he talked about that red hoodie he wore in his live (but he like said I got this read hoodie and in my head I was like oh ya i know all about that!) and im like ya that would look really good.

Then I told him how i watched no escape and I was like " Alexei the way his head was bashed in... that was like TK getting shot by times like ten " and ronen laughed and was like yeah that was rough but he enjoyed putting people on that ride. and I said I mean I had a feeling something was gonna happen but I didnt know what exactly and hes like ya but you didnt know about Alexei and I'm like no but I thought maybe Alexei would go off on Cole. Ronen said how something bad elways ends up happening in every movie of his and I'm like yeah. He also said " but Alexei's not a bad guy" and in my head I was like well technically no. It was funny haha I kinda wish I said that.

     Then he asked me where I was in the world and I told him Syracuse, NY and he's like "oh you know I'm from New York?!" I'm like "yeah" and he like asked me how it is where I am and I told him we've been opened back up since like June and he was so surprised he was like "oh wow June really!" and i was like we were lucky. and then he's like oh I don't think I've ever been to Syracuse and I'm like "yeah I guess we're lucky"  He asked me if I went to school here?" I'm like "no I was raised here" and I told him  I went to school in Cortland.  I kind of told him I was born and raised in Upstate NY and have always been here.  

I can't remember what I said after that. I think it was a few small talk things and the moderator interrupted and told us it had been three minutes. Then we took our picture and Ronen was like "it was so great meeting you and talking with you" Then after our picture I was like "You too thank you so much" and I said bye. 

    My wrap up is that I would meet him again. Three minutes went by so fast and I know now that I have chatted with Ronen before that I would be more comfortable doing it again. I absolutely love chatting with Ronen and he was such a dream and so kind to talk with. I still even days later I can't believe I met him and talked with him. Like If you don't follow the show I don't think you get this. Like I've connected with Ronen as TK and as himself. He's also helped so much mentally during quarantine. He would do frequent lives and he was very vocal and helpful to many people during lockdown and having to deal with quarantine. I also want to meet Rafa too next time also from 911 lone star. I wish I met him this time around, but I didn't because I didn't want to over exhort my emotions. This was a lot, but it was 1,000% worth it!
