My name is Katie & I'm 23!
For me it's so weird to be typing all this to put out there in the world. for the past 3 almost 4 years I have been vlogging all about beauty, lifestyle, and just whatever I felt like on YouTube. You might be thinking why did I chose to start a blog? Well there is no straight answer to that. lately I have being toying with this idea of starting a blog. I thought it would be something exciting that I could connect to my channel. I figured when it comes to linking stuff in videos that blogging would make that easy, but that isn't why. After talking with friends I've realized how much sense blogging makes. I want to do something different, I guess change things up in a way. I want this blog to show the onion layers of me. I want this to be my space where I can post personal things that maybe don't fit on my channel. In order for you to get to know me more I'm gonna share 23 facts about me being I'm 23 now.
23 facts about me
1. I live in NY! Home to lots of snow whether I like it or not.
2. I'm a Virgo! Yes I'm actually really into astrology even if I don't understand how to interrupt my birth chart. my moon sign is also Virgo & my rising sign is Libra.
3. I have two dogs Skoda ( a 11 year old beagle) & Cooper (a 6 year old boxer!)
4. I'm in my senior year of college which is crazy being I've been in college since 2014 after I graduated high school. it's been a long journey, but I'm hoping to graduate within this next year. I'm currently studying English, but I'm hoping that will bring me to other opportunities.
5. I'm a shy person. I don't think I'm as shy as I was as a kid, but I'm defiantly more introverted.
6. my birthday is September 22nd. I'm a fall baby, but my birthday occasionally lands on the last day of summer when it doesn't land on the first day of fall.
7. recently I've been talking about moving somewhere warm because I'm sick of the cold. these 0 degree winter days have really got to me. I'm dreaming of north, south Carolina, and Florida warm winter days in the future.
8. I'm very close with my family. I couldn't imagine my life without them. I'm especially close with my grandparents on my moms side.
9. My favorite flower is the sunflower. it just makes me really happy. I can't really explain why it's just a fact.
10. I'm addicted to TV. I always find myself getting into a new show every year. My go to top 5 shows would probably have to be Chicago Fire, PD, Med, This is us, and new Amsterdam! I watch way more shows than 5 though.
11. My dream job would probably have to be working with kids who have disabilities. I don't know if that means being a teacher (which is another dream of mine.) or working with them in another setting, but this is a dream I have recently realized.
12. My favorite movie is Safe haven. I've for sure seen billions of movies, but this is one I can actually see myself watching over and over, and yes I do.
13. I don't have any tattoo's unlike most people my age. I know I don't have any crazy. If I were to get one though I would get an infinity symbol on my wrist with a word in the middle of it.
14. When I was a sophomore in college I took 2 ASL classes for my foreign language. It is a language I love and someday after I finish my degree, and have settled I would like to take more classes. I would love to be fluent in the language.
15. I have a phobia of birds. The thought of one landing me makes me never want to leave my house again.
16. I love country music! It just makes me feel good and so happy. My favorite artists are Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood, Maren Morris, and so many more.
17. The only piece of jewelry I wear consistently is this ring (it''s gold and has a bunch of X's across it with only the one in the middle being silver) my Grannie gave me after my great granny passed. I wear it everyday and actually the only time I'm not wearing it is when I'm showering.
18. My top place I want to visit right now is Texas. I think the show the night shift instilled that in me. I'm hoping to make this happen within the next 5 years.
19. my favorite color has always been purple in fact my room is purple ( lilac & dark purple), but recently I've fallen in love with the color rose gold!
20. My favorite animal is an elephant because they are a symbol of good luck, but I do also enjoy giraffe's after meeting some at the zoo last year.
21. If I could change my name I would change it to Zoe because I love a name that few people have. I also found out I had a great great grandma or something along the lines of that named Zoey, but I would want it to be Zoe to stand out.
22. When I was growing up I was addicted to Sims 3 & I would spend hours of my weekends playing it. I kinda miss that and really want to play it now.
23. I say what's on my mind especially if I'm comfortable with you and sometimes that can work against me. Some of my friends love that about me, some don't mind, but others don't love It. I guess we all have our quirks.
