Flashback Product Favorites | May | Do I still love them?
Hey everyone! Hope your May was a good one. So I think that today I would talk again about more flashback products. Today I'm going to be flashing back on all the past may's and talking about what I still love or don't in that case. Well anyways lets get to it.
Flashback May products | Where are they now?
Starting in may 2015 ( this was actually my first ever favorites video!)
I haven't used this foundation since I believe 2017! I used the shade "creamy natural" and at first used "buff beige" when I was more tan in high school. I loved this foundation when I had combo oily skin. As of right now I have normal to dry skin. My nose is especially dry. I love this foundation in high school. This was actually one of the first foundations that I tried when I was first starting out with makeup. I haven't tried this foundation in 2 years, but I would be interested in using it again soon.
I haven't used this one in a maybe a year or so. I get this one from time to time as a sample when I order online. I also went through this phase where I love this mascara so if it was on sale at ULTA you bet I would pick up 1 or 2. Although I do love this mascara I don't find it worth it to buy. I find there are so many drugstore mascaras that are so much better than high end mascaras. I would much rather buy a high end palette or highlighter than spend $20 if not more on a mascara. Mascara's just expire way too fast to buy a full size high end one.
This one I haven't used in I don't even know how long. I used to love this. I'm pretty sure I repurchased it probably 5 to maybe 10 times. When I had oiler skin this was my go to powder in high school and the beginning of college. I will no longer purchase this though for a few reasons. I just don't use powder on my full face, I don't like matte powders anymore. So this is a so long kind of product for me.
This product sadly has been discontinued. I don't think I ever repurchased this product, but I love this when I did use it. I loved the brightening effect of it. I'm actually pretty sure that I used this in my first ever makeup tutorial. I also think that they have replaced this product with the clean matte line. I won't be repurchasing the new version of this product. I guess I'm just gonna remember how good this concealer and this line was.
I no longer love this. it's actually funny because I used to love this kind of color when I first started playing with makeup. As of now I don't like bright pinks. I love a poppin purple, but I don't like I florescent pink. I also found over time his formula dried out. I have since trashed it. This lipstick is also hard to find in this exact shade name, but I'm sure maybeline has reformulated and renamed this one several times.
Now onto 2016!
I haven't used the waterproof version of this in a few years. I own the regular version of this. I do like it, but I find these days it's just nothing special to me. I don't use the one I have as much. I feel like my preferences when It comes to my skin and makeup removal has just changed. I use this kind of product mostly for removing swatches when I film.
I loved this when I had more combination skin. As of right now I'm very particular with my skincare. It seems like also they have phased out this product. I tried this when I was trying to find the best cleanser to combat acne. I always liked biore's products. I haven't used this in 4 years and I don't plan on it ever again.
I believe I first got this when I subscribed to Birchbox. I was never a diehard fan of this, but I did enjoy it when I was first trying to figure out contouring. I've never purchased this full size. I always get this as sample even now. I also am panning this product in my current pan that palette series. This honestly is far from being my favorite bronzer, but I'm panning it for now. I'm trying to stray away from benefit as well since this product isn't cruelty free.
I still own this version of the palette. I find though that I tend to the use the newer version of the palette more, even when I use the original side. I love this palette, but I find that I hardly use it. I think maybe in 2020 I will pan this palette. I think that would be a fun project to embark on. As for the remix palette I will never pan that one. I love that palette and think it goes great with the original shadow side.
I really like this brush, but I do find that I don't get much use out of it now. I tend to only use this with pot lipsticks. I still use this one from time to time and I do enjoy it. I actually have something kinda funny to say about this. You have to put the cap into the back of the brush to get the brush to pop out, but when I first purchased this I didn't know that. I remember returning my first one, and then at target my mom and I realized that we were using it wrong the whole time. Love this and will continue to use it here and there.
Now onto 2017!
I remember at the time liking these. I loved how this was exactly like the micellar water, but in wipe form. I haven't tried this in almost 3 years. I won't try these again because I've found other wipes that I love a lot more.
This sponge is only available on Real Techniques website now. I mean it is available on other retailers websites, but the prices are outrageous. I have also seen this sponge in marshals and tjmaxx. I loved this sponge. I threw mine out a few months ago because it was old. I still love this because of the fine tip applicator which I loved for concealer. It was also very nice for when I would do my eyes first and I didn't want the concealer to disturb my eyeshadow. I love the sponge I'm using now, but I also wouldn't mind pick this one up if I saw it at Marshalls.
I don't know how I even used to like this. I hate silicon type primers. This is one where even to this day when I get one of these I will try it, but I always end up hating them because of the feeling. I also find that they really do nothing for me. I will never buy this.
I panned this last year. I remember when I first got this I liked it. It's funny because I purchased it originally to try out illuminators because I just never tried them before. I haven't used this since I panned this. I will not repurchase this and I'm pretty sure they are discontinuing it because the shade I used is no longer available. Either way I'm not purchasing this ever again.
I used to be ride or die for this mascara. I no longer love it that much. I find for $25 it's just not worth it. I haven't used this I believe since last year when I panned a sample of this. It does lift your lashes and is nice, but again for that price point I'm just not about it.
I love this blush. I have been using it ever since this favorites video. It is absolutely gorgeous, but although I love it I just wouldn't buy it again. I actually just panned it the other day. I will for sure be looking for a dupe of this though because it is stunning and I still need it in my life. I just wouldn't get it again because benefit isn't cruelty free.
I love this blush. I remember before this favorites video I didn't real like this blush. I don't really know why I didn't like it, but I just didn't. I love this blush now for summer. I am also panning mine currently. I have mine half panned. It is gorgeous, but I know there are better alternatives out there.
L'oreal Brow stylist plumper $10.99
I used to love this. I loved how small the wand was and it kept my brows in place like glue. I haven't used this product in years. I have since fallen in love with a different brow product. I do think this one is good, but now my brow preferences have changed. I wouldn't purchase this one anymore.
I haven't used this product in the longest time. From what I can remember it's not a sticky lipgloss. I remember liking that it was a creamy stain kind of product, and I thought it was a fun color for summer. Honestly looking at it I'm thinking about decluttering it so stayed tuned to my channel because a declutter will be coming soon.
I love Casey so of course I had to get this collaboration at the time. I still love this. This product is available still, but is just in different packaging because Casey's packaging was only available for the first year. I love this, but don't use it too much because I don't want to use it up. This is probably one of the best highlight formulas because it doesn't emphasize texture which I appreciate. This palette is one of the good ones.
